Outside of her real estate career, Jean has been an active member of her community, volunteering her time and expertise to various charitable organizations and community events. She has been an active member in the volunteer fire department for many years and has served with many other volunteer organizations from the fine arts to pet fostering. She enjoys staying active, exploring new neighborhoods, and spending quality time with her family and friends, and fostering pets.

Melissa was raised in New Fairfield, CT. She graduated from New Fairfield High School, class of ‘93; Western Connecticut State University, class of ‘97; and had a successful seven year corporate career with Ethan Allen World corporate headquarters in Danbury, CT in the interior design training department. She married her high school sweetheart, John, in 1999, and they have chosen to raise their family on the shores of the beautiful Candlewood Lake. Melissa and John have three children; Christopher, Gianni, and Isabella.

In 2002, Melissa decided to obtain her Realtor’s license at night while pregnant with her first child while working her corporate position and later obtained her Broker’s license in 2006 while pregnant with her second child. Being born and raised in New Fairfield has provided her with unlimited connections and being a Realtor seemed to be the perfect piece of the puzzle. Being a Realtor has blended itself effortlessly with her family life which she loves.

Over her nearly twenty years as a sales agent with Luks Realty, Melissa has been the recipient of many awards, has consistently been a top sales producer, and her client services are unmatched.

Being surrounded by the Real Estate industry her entire life as her mother, Claire, opened Luks Realty in 1987, has been the perfect preparation for her to transition into the next stage of her career and take over as the principle broker of the agency.

Melissa is determined to continue to provide unsurpassed customer service along with implementing forward-looking marketing techniques to obtain top dollar for the largest investment of her clients’ life; their home.

In the future, perhaps one of her children (especially the two who “attended” class with Melissa all those years ago), will also go into the family business… only time will tell.

Claire Sinclair Luks has been a Real Estate Broker Helping Buyers and Sellers since 1971. She has experienced both booming and depressed real estate markets over the years.
